Traditional handwoven fabric is produced in the remote area of Changtang, Ladakh by the Nomadic Yak herding women of the Changpa Tribe. Using a backstrap loom whilst grazing their yaks and goats the women produce narrow width fabric to be made into pencil cases and other accessories by the JUNGWA Foundation which works to preserve their culture, heritage and skills.
This purse makes can be used as a pencil case or small cosmetic purse.
